Ayar West – “Proceed to the Next Level” (TRON Remix)

Inspired by Hopsin and Lupe Fiasco

(‘don’t kill yourself’ God says)

Dark matter with my thoughts scattered
the height of ignorace is thinking that the world’s ours
it’s got me crying in the shower
and hiding in the shadows
When I was young I had visions of a better world
Thought I could achieve it by reciting a couple words
So I, meditate till I have no mind
I’m at peace you can’t have mine
just wanna shine till you go blind
every time i open my mind
my thoughts flow in circles
while time crawls like a turtle
we’re drowning in the fountain of youth
surrounded by dollars confusing it for power
I’ve never felt this shit before
things changed and it happened quickly
You never did know which road to go
It’s like you rode the boat and sailed away and hoped to hit the golden coast
But you sank like the Titanic
The incident, it left your life damaged, and that’s when I panicked
You thought you had it locked,
homie you ain’t even on the right planet
if you wanna live life right, plan it
I should’ve stopped you when I had the chance to do so
But back then I had felt like that was too bold
You started hanging with new folks, and made the drug environment your new home
I really hate to stress it
but you were strange to mess with
so i kept my distance because you always had this blank expression
like you’re confused and unaware of you’re surroundings
so you cut life short and ended it abruptly
this world is too cold, could i have prevented it, who knows?
dont judge me because you don’t you know me
I’m mad at the world cuz it took away my homie
you should have made your choices wisely
fucking with poision ivy
without your partying what would your point in life be
it’s always a struggle to get your ass to listen
you really hurt me with all your bad decisions
i always warned you about taking the wrong path
but you didn’t listen till the fire burned your ass
assorted memories from my childhood
got me depressed but feeling good
i’m free in this world but a prisoner in my own head

I’ve Come so far, seen so much
I cannot settle for “good enough”
So I’ll sweat and I’ll climb until I reach my prime
My motivation rises and falls again
Through it all, I’ll reach the end
In my heart, there’s a light and it takes me higher

We’re going up, we’re going up
Next level, next floor
I’m ready for it
I’ve been waiting all my life

When I meet my lord
I dont wanna be accepted not at all as i am
let my sins sink in the quicksand
“how does the whole world in your hand sound?”
dance, it’s a new life!
every time i close my eyes
I think about the sky
for sure a genius being designed it
but you’d rather deny it
I’m Shooting for the moon, even if I miss I’ll be among the stars
Backstroke in my pool of thought but don’t mind the sharks
Ab-solar system intergalactic soldier
Trapped in a game where the trap is the dunya
Scope this horror, Aquariuses make it rain here
No love for your honor, only God can judge us
or If you’re Muslim, Allah, I’ve had it up to my collar
With these people castin’ stones like this Mancala
Proceed to the next level, dig that with a platinum shovel
Black magic, matter of fact, if matter is fact
A matter factory is in the making perhaps
Uh, erase your database
We race against time, no time to set a date
Too cool for school, unloose the noose and
proceed to the next level

I’ve Come so far, seen so much
I cannot settle for “good enough”
So I’ll sweat and I’ll climb until I reach my prime
My motivation rises and falls again
Through it all, I’ll reach the end
In my heart, there’s a light and it takes me higher

We’re going up, we’re going up
Next level, next floor
I’m ready for it
I’ve been waiting all my life

About The Author

My biggest struggle is myself. My temptations and desires distract me, the material world blinds me, my unforgivable youth saddens me and frequently discourages me. "Sometimes I feel like letting go, so I can roam around the wilderness, see it for what it really is uncorrupted and filter-less". Some people are so poor, all they have is money. Our struggle is to be the best that we can be by living a balanced life, both fully and righteously. It's never too late, but remember that man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor.
